Glowing under a black light:

Glowing with no lights:

Immortality

The climb of identity is perilous and tempered with storms,

The steps of adversity and discipline a stairway to heaven.

The prize of everlasting life bestowed upon any who would seek it,

An immortal land that yields its abundance in every season.

This year 2023 has been a whole new season for my family and me. We left our home of 39+ years in California and moved to Tennessee. It was something my wife and I had both been hearing in our hearts that was coming soon, although we didn’t know when exactly and definitely did not know where we would be moving to. The night our landlord at the time gave us a 60-day notice to vacate, my wife took my hands and asked me to name the first state that came to mind on the count of 3. One, two, three…we both said Tennessee at the same time. All the doors opened for us one after another and we were blessed beyond what we both could imagine in every way to get us here.

Here we are now and in our own home for the first time giving our children something much greater than either of us had growing up. This is the first painting I have done to hang in our first home together to fill our bedroom wall space where it currently hangs to this day until someone else wants it :)
