The first of three in a sea creature series I was commissioned to do as a result of the butterfly “Old For New” painting.

By request, I used the same color scheme and creation process for Mr. Seahorse as well as the other two that followed. Painting this I recalled my visit to St Thomas Island where I joined a kayaking excursion through the mangrove bays. There we further explored the coral formations and intricate living floors of the bay as we snorkeled around for a couple of hours. This was the first time in my life that I had ever seen such colorful seahorses firsthand and many other sea creatures that I now get to bring to life in a new way through my art.
