“ A Warm Winter”

36 x 48”

Texture, acrylics, oils and phosphorescent on canvas covered with a high gloss resin.

This piece was painted for my first art showing at an art gallery in Redlands, CA and sold not too long after. Many of my first newly developed techniques were utilized in its creation such as the use of texture to define deliberate figures or structures, primary use of gold and pearlescent, and keeping the background white and simple as possible. It was the second ever painting of mine to glow in the dark and use a high gloss resin poured over it. One of my greatest struggles is keeping it simple. I always want to add more texture, more color, or more definition. They say it takes two people to create a masterpiece, the artist and somone to shoot the artist when he is done.
